2 – Sorting, Graphing, Counting Transportation Graph

This is such a fabulous thought from I Can Teach My Child.   I tin can't think of a better way to introduce graphing to petty ones. Information technology uses toys they love, concepts they empathise, and it uses a hands-on approach.  Yous tin can read more than about this idea here.

3 – Counting, Ane-to-One Correspondence –Dump Truck Counting Mat

This was a favorite at our business firm.  I created the prune art and printed a ready of cards numbered one-20.  My Ii worked on filling the truck with items upwards to 5, while my 4 enjoyed working with the higher numbers. Read more than and become your printable here.

May I say that I am very proud of these?  This was my offset attempt at creating clip fine art from scratch.  Thankfully, trucks are made of basic lines and shapes! 🙂 You lot can create your ain patterns with pattern cards, give your child ten strips to complete (pictured), or use two separate worksheets.  See my original mail service and get your printables here.

5 – Shapes – Trucks & Trains from Foam Shapes

I cutting out a whole agglomeration of foam shapes — squares, triangles, rectangles, and blackness circles.  And then I gave a small set to my 2 and asked him to create a truck or train.  He had fun with this.  I have seen many bloggers get the cream shapes a little wet and so that their children tin create on the window or bathtub wall.  They stick similar magic!

6 – Matching, Shapes – Tool Match-Up

I originally posted virtually the idea here.  It's as simple equally information technology looks.  This activity is more appropriate for toddlers, only young preschoolers will enjoy information technology besides.  You could trace real tools for older preschoolers — including nuts and bolts of various sizes — to brand information technology tougher.

vii – Number Recognition – Coloring Race

Print two copies of the train and have a coloring race with your child.  Take turns flipping cards and coloring the matching space on your page.  I used this coloring sheet to reinforce number recognition, but you can write whatever you'd like on the bare train to fit your needs: shapes, answers to simple math problems, etc.  You lot could also fill the blank train with numbers from 2-12.  So roll dice and colour their sum.  See my original post and go your re-create here.

8 – Sorting – Sorting Trash

This was a printable that my Two, Four, and Five did with me.  Information technology was beyond my Two, but the older kids understood how to dissever the garbage from the recyclables.

9 – Shapes, Matching – Truck Loading Shape Prune Cards

10 – Sorting – Turtle Size Sort
